Following the success of our first Kallah Teacher Workshop in 2008, we are excited to now announce our second Kallah Teacher Workshop, an innovative program run jointly by JOFA, Yeshivat Chovevei Torah Rabbinical School, and Yeshivat Maharat.

In March 2011, a select group of women will take part in a 4-day intensive workshop which will help prepare them to teach Chatan and Kallah classes in their communities.

What Makes this Unique? These women will be trained in a broad range of halakhic perspecitves and will gain a comfort level in dealing with sexual issues, something that is sorely lacking in many kallah classes.  Airfare, accommodations, food, and tuition will be fully covered by the sponsoring institutions.

How to Apply: The program is accepting applications from women who already have a limudei kodesh background and/or have taught kallah classes previously. A social work or counseling background or equivalent communal experience is a plus. If you are interested in applying or know someone who would be a good match for this groundbreaking program, please visit www.jofa.org to download an application form.  All applications are due by January 2, 2011.
